Turn 1

Player Actions
Albatros (Jon) Build x2
Fokker (Klaus) Build x2
Halberstadt (Mike) Build, Research
Pfalz (Ian) Build, Design

Lots of Build actions. With only four contracts to award, some factories are going to go idle this turn. But early builds are often a good investment for later.

Pfalz plays a "+2 Streamlining" card as part of his Design action, and rolls a '6' for a total Effectiveness of 8. He's now well in the lead technologically and hence gets first crack at contracts, with a +1 drm for having an Effectiveness 3 greater than his next best competitor (in the case the Allies).

Pfalz rolls a 3 and pulls in 2 contracts.

Fokker next plays Regional Preference: Saxony, adding one to his Political Influence and hence giving him next crack at getting contracts. He rolls a 4, modified to 5 by the +1 Political Influence, and pulls in one contract.

That leaves one contract left, with both Halberstadt and Albatros still to go. A random dieroll gives Albatros the nod, and he pulls in the last of the contracts.

The War Status card drops German morale by 3. Allied morale falls by 2, but then they lose another point for having inferior aircraft to the mighty Pfalz D.II. Contracts Available increase by 4. Inflation occurs, wherein all players lose 25% of their score, but this bout is rounded down and so no one is actually affected. A new Allied aircraft shows up, but with a dr of '2' it's still inferior to the Pfalz machine.
