Turn 4Player Actions
Before any actions are resolved, Pfalz plays the "Golden Opportunity" event to steal Fokker's Talented Engineer. Albatros recruits a Talented Engineer of his own, and plays the "+2 Captured Aircraft: Nieuport 17" card as part of his Design action. (A "Captured Aircraft" event is a one-time boost to the dieroll, hence the parentheses around it in the status diplay below.) Using those events pays off, with Albatros rolling '1' but getting '6' on the reroll for a final Effectiveness of 10. If still a bit behind the Allies, he's now in the lead amongst the players, technology-wise. Pfalz plays the only Bank action so far; with a dr of '6' he puts that many points in the bank. Halberstadt finds a representative, with Ernest Udet agreeing to put in a good word for the organization. The preference order for contracts is now Albatros, Fokker, Pfalz, and Halberstadt. Albatros rolls a '2' which would ordinarily entitle him to 5 contracts, but his factories limit him to 4. Fokker rolls a '5' (adjusted to '6' by Boelcke) which grants him 7 contracts, but he is likewise limited to 4 by his factories. Pfalz rolls '3' and gains 3 contracts. Halberstadt rolls '5' (modified to '6' by Udet) and gains 2 contracts. Two contracts go unfulfilled. The War Status card drops German morale by 3 (including the technology bonus), Allied morale by 4, and adds a net one contract. Game Stats
