Turn 7Player Actions
Halberstadt builds three factories. Albatros again tries for a new design. This turn he gets access to the next generation of Better Engine, and this design also proves to be a Fast Climber. His accumulated technologies give him a base of +9 and his dierolls of '5', '5' (rerolling for his Talented Engineer) advance his Effectiveness to 14. Pfalz likewise tries out a new design. He adds the now-available first generation Better Engine to his existing technologies for a base of 7. His initial dieroll is a '1' but his Talented Engineer allows a reroll and he hits the jackpot with a '6' for a new Effectiveness of 13. For the Banking actions, Albatros rolls a '3', Fokker rolls '2', '6', and '5' (protected all but one of his Score), and Pfalz rolls '2'. Before rolling for contracts, Albatros reveals that he has attracted von Richthofen as a spokesman. On to awarding contracts. This turn the order is Albatros (14 Effectiveness + 2 for von Richthofen), Pfalz (13+1), Fokker (11+1), Halberstadt (10+1). It's somewhat interesting that the four aces in the game are so evenly distributed -- I've not seen that before. Albatros rolls a disappointing '2' for contracts, but von Richthofen boosts that to '4', resulting in 8 contracts. Alas, Albatros has only 7 factories, so seven more points is what he scores. Pfalz rolls an even more disappointing '1', adjusted to '2' for his ace, and lands 4 contracts. Fokker joins the Low Rollers Club with a '1' also, adjusted to '2' for his ace, getting 2 contracts. Halberstadt rolls '3', adjusted by his ace to '4', getting 2 contracts. Two contracts again go unfulfilled. The War Status card drops German morale by 1, and Allied morale by 5 (including the technology bonus since Albatros has a better design than the Allies). We're definitely closing in on the end of the game now. No additional contracts are added this turn. Game Stats
